Formula BMW was an entry level formula series run by BMW Motorsport to give young drivers the chance to compete at an international level for a relative small budget. The series had different championships in Europe, Asia, UK and the Americas.
Some well know champions include Timo Glock, Nico Rosberg, Sebastian Vettel, Nico Hulkenberg, Robert Wickens, Marcus Ericsson, Alexander Rossi, Felipe Nasr and Robin Frijns.
The series was active from 1998 until 2013.
